April 7, 2016 — The Texas Tribune covered a win for Vista Ridge opponents. The victory came when the Texas Water Development Board announced the Vista Ridge pipeline project was ineligible for $885 million in low-interest “SWIFT” loans. The staff’s recommendation described the lack of information and uncertainty with the project as a reason for recommending against funding it. Despite this victory, SAWS was still invited to submit a $127 million application for the “Vista Ridge Integration” project in May. Read the full story here.
